A Breath of Fresh Air in Our Classrooms

A lot of things were happening over the last couple of days. We tidied up and thoroughly cleaned our classrooms and the walls got a new coat of paint. With a lot of motivation, teamspirit and joy, even the children helped energetically. A wonderful sign of responsibility and solidarity.

Our fresh, new rooms don't just create a nice atmosphere for learning, they're also preparing for something special. We can finally reveal what we lately have been working so hard for.

Thanks to the valuable support of Stiftung Entwicklungs-Zusammenarbeit Baden-Württemberg (SEZ), we were able to equip our classrooms with Smart Boards. Not only does this make our classes more interactive, vivid and exciting: The school curriculum will be better visualised and in turn, developed and experienced together. This is how teaching comes alive and becomes sustainable.

Digital education is an important key to the future for our students. It bolsters curiosity, independence and other important skills that strengthen our children on their educational path; especially concerning the challenging circumstances that they grow up in.

Our teachers received a special instructional training in order to make use of the Smart Boards in a purposeful and pedagogically useful way. With this, we make sure that new technology is not only available, but actually enriching for our classrooms.

We are thankful for the support and excited about this important step for our children's education.
