This week, the Bundeswehr visited us yet again for some Christmas baking and made Christmas biscuits together with our children. Between diligent kneading, rolling out, cutting out and laughter, there was joy all around.
Our children had a lot of fun. During breaks, everyone was dancing, singing and enjoying the moment. For many of them, this was a special occasion that brought variety, closeness and a piece of normality back into their daily lives at the refugee camps.
At the end, every child was able to take their own bag of homemade Christmas biscuits home - with a lot of pride and a big smile on their face.
A heartfelt 'Thank-You' to the Bundeswehr for their valuable time, shared moments and warmth which touched the hearts of our children in such a meaningful and important way.
