Visitors from the German School Erbil

Last week, we were able to welcome high school students as well as their teachers from the German School Erbil at our school. They had begun collecting donations in kind towards the end of last year and wanted to hand them out to our students in person. Now, the time had finally come.

To start us off, we had organised a small football match. With a lot of enthusiasm, fairness and team spirit, one of our own classes of the Our Bridge school competed against our guests. The game ended in a 2-0 victory for our Our Bridge class, which was met with overarching joy.

After the match, we toured the refugee camp. The high school students from the German School Erbil were very moved by the impressions of the camp and spontaneously decided to buy and hand out candy to the children living in the camp - a sign of sympathy and practiced humanity.

At the end, the high school students presented their donations to our children. Joy and gratefulness was felt all around, and both sides were very moved by this encounter.

We would like to thank the German School Erbil, their commited students and teachers, from the bottom of our hearts. We're hoping for many more beautiful moments and shared projects in the future.
