Eidi's Fate

'Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.'

The fact that education is the most important foundation for a self-determined future is known to every child who's part of the Our Bridge family by now. But without support from the outside in terms of donations or sponsorships, access to this path remains denied to these children.

Eidi, who is only seven years old, had to learn as a young child how important an investment into the future is. During a fire in the camp the tent of the refugee family caught on fire. Suddenly, everything of personal value to Eidi was gone. Furthermore, the fact that her father as well as her mother might not be able to keep providing for her family for health reasons did not go unnoticed.
