Our Team Workshops for a Better Education
Good education does not develop randomly it is the result of dedication, reflection and continuous growth. This is why our team workshops are a vital part of our everyday life at school.

Good education does not develop randomly - it is the result of dedication, reflection and continuous growth. This is why our team workshops are a vital part of our everyday life at school.
Every thursday, we come together as a team. We begin with a shared lunch and transition into educational workshops. At the moment, our teachers devise these in a practical way: Everyone prepares a teaching unit that their colleagues will experience through the lense of the students. Afterwords, we reflect as a team and provide constructive criticism. We pay special attention to pivotal quality characteristics of good education:
- Are educational objectives clearly stated in the beginning?
- Is the topic taught coherent and step by step?
- Are children actively involved via group work or creative activities?
Last week, our art teacher Bassam had organised a teaching unit for us. Together, the team crafted ladybugs out of plastic spoons - a creative and at the same time structured activity that was met with everyone's approval. The feedback was nothing but positive.
Our work is characterised by a specific responsibility. Our students are refugees; they are children that had to flee from violence and uncertainty and now live in refugee camps in Northern Iraq. To them, school is much more than a place for studying. It is a place of stability, trust and hope. Because of this, providing eduaction that is not only good but also educationally valuable, structured and appropriate for children is vital to us.
We are proud of our team and the path we walk together daily.
