Jiyan's Fate
'We've been living in a UN refugee camp for 7 years by now. I've been dreaming of becoming a teacher in order to support my parents with my income for forever'.

Jiyan's (16) father has been working for a daily salary ever since their family fled Shingal 2014. There are barely any employment opportunities in the area which hampers the family's prospects of securing their livelihood. Additionally, Jiyan's mother has been suffering greatly with her mental health ever since her beloved hometown was attacked.
Music classes at Our Bridge offer a small escape for Jiyan. Here, Jiyan can fully enjoy the moment alongside her friends while singing and dancing.
A sponsorship offers children like Jiyan a chance at a self-determined future. Find more information about different possibilities to support us on our website. Thank You for being a part of Our Bridge.
