Shahd's Fate

When a family is suddenly dependent on a single person...

Shahd had always heard from her sister about how exceptional the Harman educational center was until she finally became a student at Our Bridge herself. Shahd says that she has already learned important things like speaking English or getting to experiment with art.

All in all, Shahd has nine siblings with whom she shares a tent in one of the UN refugee camps alongside their parents. When Shadh's father was diagnosed with a tumor, the family was heartstricken. Since then, it has been her brother who is trying to keep the family afloat with daily wages.

Children like Shahd depend on our help. Regardless of their familial situation, every child should have the chance of creating their own future without fear.
